Where You Live

Have you ever thought about the environment you choose to live in? It is interesting to see how different beings thrive in different settings. Either by choice or by circumstance, the places we live have a major influence on what we create. Nick has been my friend for 24 years (my entire life). I recently got in a plane and flew back to California to visit and photograph some art Nick has been working on. As we chatted, reminisced, and sat in traffic we began to ponder on this very idea of the influence of environment. A couple days later we sat at the diner in Claremont and talked about environment, culture, and the influence it has on art. After much thought and discussion, we came to the overwhelmingly exciting conclusion that yes it does... Nick lives in a trailer in southern California - does his art reflect that? Maybe we are over thinking.
